FAQ’s
What’s an Appraisal?
An Appraisal is an opportunity for you to learn what your collection could be worth if sold online, as well as what we at NerdCorp Games would offer on the collection as a whole. Appraisals don’t imply that you have to sell— Just an opportunity to evaluate the value and authenticity of your cards.
An Appraisal usually takes around two hours for most binders, and includes the following:
Estimated Market Value of cards worth more than $1.00
Recommendations on what cards to submit for Grading.
A Data sheet of your high value cards.
Do I send the cards or what?
Appraisals are done via drop off. When we schedule the appraisal, we’ll arrange for a time for you to drop your cards off at our partner storefront and we will complete the appraisal within the next two business days.
In-home appraisals are available for a $75 up front fee at time of appraisal. Details to be discussed during scheduling, though in general, you need a pet free area with a table that can fit your collection available.
How much does it Cost?
We provide appraisal services for free. Frankly, this is the most fun and most player-friendly way for us to pick up more inventory. However, our time is limited and we reserve the right to refuse appraisal of extremely large collections, or request that the appraisal is scheduled in chunks to avoid spending too much time on the appraisal.
We do ask that if you decide to sell your appraised collection, that you come to us first if we’ve appraised your collection and let us make an offer.
What if I don’t like what you’ve appraised my collection at?
That’s fine! Part of collecting cards is in the value you assign to them. If you don’t like our appraisal of value, no hard feelings and we appreciate the chance to look at it! We’re also happy to refer you to other stores and buyers that may be more interested in your collection.
Personally, we collect Tony Tony Chopper and Usopp cards of all types. And if you haven’t heard us talk about Tuffnut and Nuu…

How do you determine card value?
We primarily use TCGPlayer, PriceCharting and eBay recently sold auctions to determine values for card values over $100.
Otherwise, we’ll use TCGPlayer’s Low, Market Value, and Last Sold on most cards to determine its final value.
Our final valuation is an opinion, not hard fact— Keep that in mind as some cards may be valued higher or lower based on market pressures and perceived value as sets release.
